Successful Conclusion of 2026 7th International Conference on Civil, Architecture and Disaster Prevention and Control (CADPC 2026)

Supported and organized by Guangdong University of Technology, the 2026 7th International Conference on Civil, Architecture and Disaster Prevention and Control (CADPC 2026) was successfully held online on January 30, 2026. This global virtual event brought together prominent scholars, researchers, and industry professionals from diverse backgrounds to exchange innovative ideas and cutting-edge research in the fields of civil engineering, architecture, and disaster prevention and control.


The conference received strong support from Ataturk University (Turkey), the Faculty of Civil Engineering at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (Malaysia), and Frederick University (Cyprus), reflecting its broad international collaboration and multidisciplinary scope.

The event featured keynote speeches from three distinguished experts who shared invaluable insights into current challenges and technological advancements. Prof. Mohamed A Ismail from Brunel University London opened the conference with a compelling presentation on the "Arc Thermal Metal Spraying Method for the purpose of Anti-corrosion of Steel in Hydraulic Structure," highlighting novel approaches to prolong structural integrity.

Next, Prof. Ahmad Safuan Bin A. Rashid of Universiti Teknologi Malaysia discussed the "Integrated Geotechnical Assessment: Bridging Climate Change Projections And Slope Stability Mechanics," providing advanced perspectives on sustainable geotechnical engineering in changing climates.

Assoc. Prof. Bin Hu from Beijing University of Technology concluded the keynote session with his study on the "Composite Utilization of Underground Space of Public Green Space in Beijing Old Town," emphasizing innovative urban planning and space optimization.

In addition to the keynote sessions, CADPC 2026 showcased a diverse array of high-quality oral presentations from scholars worldwide. Sixteen presenters delivered insightful talks covering a wide range of topics, such as the mechanical properties of novel construction materials, seismic resistance of buildings, pipeline safety under environmental threats, and applications of magnetic targeted grouting technology for deep water tunnel repairs.
